We’ve been really impressed with the S60 and S30 skypanels so it made sense to add an Arri SkyPanel S360-C to our list. This is the largest and most powerful softlight from an LED source that we’ve seen.
We currently offer a range of ARRI Skypanel fixtures, including the S30C, S60, S120, and the powerful S360.
The SkyPanel S360-C has surface area nearly 6 times bigger than the S60 across a 105 degree beam angle. It throws light much further than the smaller Skypanels.
Arri have added lots of useful features to this new model. These include total colour control, lighting effects on a huge aperture, built-in wireless DMX and much more.
At 48kg The SkyPanel S360-C is truly a beast of a light. This makes the carbon fibre yoke is essential. This is 50% lighter than the steel yokes typically used on these lights, and can support 10 times the weight of the fixture. This reduces the overall weight by several kg and makes the SkyPanel S360-C completely safe to rig.
This is the kind of detail we’d expect from Arri who make their lights by hand in Germany. So, you know they are high quality.
There’s also an on-board battery input for mobile applications, and a LAN port to connect the fixture to a network.
There’s even a USB-A port so that you can update the firmware via a thumb drive quickly and easily.
