About
Green Kit
We’re the leading supplier of energy efficient film lights in London and here’s why
Greenkit was established in 2011 by Pat McEnallay with a mission to supply energy efficient LED lights to the UK film and television industry.
From small beginnings – just Pat in a corner office with a few pieces of kit, Greenkit has grown steadily and now stocks over 150 different LED lights in our large warehouse and office in Northwest London. Sustainability influences everything from which new lights to buy to where we source the office coffee or cleaning products.
As co-chair of the BSC (British Society of Cinematographers) Sustainability Committee and a member of BAFTA Pat is committed to sharing his knowledge with the wider industry. Greenkit is proud to be an ALBERT supplier and a London Living Wage Employer.
We believe that the next step change for the industry will be electrical battery generators. These will have a huge impact on the carbon footprint of the whole industry and we’re investing in the best available and collaborating with partners at Film London, ASPEC and others to make sure our clients and suppliers want to join us on this journey
There’s always something new at Greenkit so if you want to check out the latest LED lights for your next project, do get in touch.
The greenkit Management Team
Pat founded Green Kit in 2013 to meet the need for energy efficient green lighting in the UK film and television industry. He has extensive experience working with gaffers and DOPs to solve film lighting problems and enjoys the challenge of helping customers fulfil their creative ambitions in the most sustainable way possible. He is excited about the potential of electrical battery generators like the Greeen Kit/ Genista to transform the way productions use power on set. When he’s not working he enjoys watching rugby, cooking Asian food and planning holidays to far flung destinations.
Sally joined the company in 2017 between Publishing jobs only intending to stay for a few months! She enjoys the challenge of working to embed sustainability into every aspect of Green Kit’s business and working with Green Kit colleagues and clients to make sure that Green Kit is actively involved in industry conversations about sustainable film making. She is particularly proud of working on the Green Kit biodiversity project at Welsh Harp Reservoir. When not at Green Kit Sally can be found in the garden or in the Pilates studio.
Callum joined Green Kit while studying at Newcastle University where he spent more time setting up lights for the University drama society than writing essays! Callum has an impressive technical knowledge which he utilises to make sure his team can support Green Kit clients to use all the clever features of our lighting fixtures. He is passionate about giving clients the equipment they need to do their best work. Callum is a keen cyclist, an adventurous traveller and a great person to have on your pub quiz team.
Simone is an experienced Camera Operator with a background in fashion shoots. He swapped life on the road for managing the Green Kit warehouse and making sure that our clients get the right equipment when and where they need it. He has watched the company grow from small beginnings and enjoys mentoring junior staff so that they can deliver the best possible service to clients. Simone is a keen cyclist, a mad snowboarder and makes the best tiramisu in London!
Rebecca is in charge of all the back office tasks that keep the office running. She’s the go to contact admin for our suppliers and customers and manages the HR function for our growing team. Rebecca is passionate about sustainability and is studying for a degree in Environmental Science alongside working full-time at Green Kit. She lives on a houseboat, loves to travel and makes a mean cocktail.
Daniel brings a wealth of logistics experience to his role as deputy warehouse manager. He works with Simone to manage the efficient running of the warehouse from transport planning to health and safety. He’s always looking for ways to improve the service we give our customers. Dan commutes to the office on his electric scooter and although he is new to the industry is a bit of a film buff with a regular weekly visit to his local cinema to catch the latest movies.
